Hi, my name is Theo (태오). I’m a student at Yale University studying economics and applied mathematics, with interests in macroeconomics, public policy, financial markets, and mathematical modeling. Thank you for visiting my blog!

I was born and raised in South Korea before coming to Yale as an international student. I’m originally from Busan, a city on the southeastern coast, but I’ve also lived in Seoul, Yongin, and Incheon. Though I have no idea where the future will take me, I hope to explore and live in new cities around the world.
I started this blog to keep a record of the thoughts, interests, and experiences that shape my early twenties, and to share them with like-minded people. I really enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories, so please feel free to reach out.
Career-wise, I want to do something interesting and rewarding. A career in financial markets or public policy seems well aligned with what I’m looking for, but who knows? I might just end up wandering around the world with a backpack and a camera. For now, I want to keep exploring until I figure out what I truly want to do.
Anyway, thanks for visiting my blog and I hope you find my posts worth reading. If there’s anything you would like to share, please reach out to me at theo [dot] kim [at] yale [dot] edu.
I hope you have a great day!
